Dear Idaho Voter,
The Gem State Voter Guide is a joint project of the Idaho Values Alliance, Idaho Chooses Life, and Education Excellence Idaho and is designed to serve both the voters and candidates in Idaho’s upcoming primary election.
This guide is designed for the Idaho General Election to be held November 4, 2008. Responses from candidates will be posted as soon as they are received. The deadline for candidates to return the questionnaire is September 5, 2008.
For further information on the positions of the candidates, we encourage you to contact candidates directly. You may obtain contact information through the Idaho Secretary of State’s office at (208) 334-2300 or by visiting the Idaho Secretary of State’s website (here) and clicking on one of the links under the "General Election Candidate List" on the upper left side of the home page.
As citizens of the Gem State, you have the privilege of helping select federal officials and state legislators who best represent your values. We hope this guide will help you educate yourself on the candidates and their positions, and encourage you to participate in this important election.
